About Samie Conyers
Samie Conyers is a pastor, veteran, and community leader dedicated to serving the people of DeKalb County and District 116 with integrity, faith, and accountability.
After serving 22 years in the United States military and retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7), Samie continued his lifelong commitment to service through ministry and community leadership. His experience in both military and faith leadership has prepared him to advocate for strong families, safe neighborhoods, and responsible government.
Samie currently serves as President of The National Movement for Civil and Human Rights and has been a resident of DeKalb County for the past 19 years. Through his work in the community, he has supported families, mentored young people, and worked alongside local leaders to strengthen neighborhoods.
As a husband, father, and grandfather, Samie understands the importance of building opportunities for future generations. He is running as a Republican candidate for Georgia State House District 116 to ensure every voice is heard and every community has representation that reflects its values and priorities.
